Covanta announces acquisition of Wisconsin-based environmental services company

SPOKANE (Scrap Monster): Covanta subsidiary, Covanta Environmental Solutions, has announced acquisition of assets of Chief Industrial Services- an environmental services company located in Wisconsin. The acquisition, for an undisclosed amount, is expected to expand Covanta’s presence in the Midwest region, through addition of two additional locations to its asset base.

According to Paul Stauder, president, Covanta Environmental Solutions, the acquisition reaffirms the company’s commitment to expand the environmental services business. It will add to its waste collection, transportation and treatment capabilities. The integration of the newly acquired company with the earlier-acquired Milwaukee-based Advanced Waste Services will create immense opportunities for synergies, Stauder added.
