Nickel Ore Inventories at China Six Major Ports Fall 300,000 tonnes

Nickel ore inventories at six major Chinese ports continued falling last week, according to SMM data.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 18 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories at six major Chinese ports were 9.52 million tonnes last week, down 300,000 tonnes on a weekly basis, according to SMM data.

SMM attributes the decline in ore inventories mainly to falling arrivals of goods and pick-ups by NPI producers near the Port of Lianyungang.

Last week, two ships arrived at the Port of Lianyungang and one ship went to the Port of Jingtang, bringing 3 ships in total arrivals.
