Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange declines further and stay below 450 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities declined further and continued to stay below 450 points on Monday due to lower cape.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main  sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities  declined further and continued to stay below 450 points on Monday due to lower  cape, panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in  average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk  transport vessels, declined sharply by another 14 points to 415 points on  Monday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which  tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
