ANKARA (Scrap Register): Turkish HMS 1/2 80:20 scrap import average prices (CFR Iskenderun Port, Turkey) dropped further to $186 a ton week-on-week during the week ended January 01, as per the latest figures from the Steel Index.
According to TSI, daily benchmark index for deep-sea Turkish imports of HMS #1&2 80:20 fell $2 a ton from last Thursday to end the week at US$186/t CFR Iskenderun port.
This was on the back of trade completed prior to the Christmas holidays commencing, and the market has since been quiet with most participants away for New Year holidays.
