An increasing number of galvanized tube/pipe producers in North China slash or cease production, SMM understands.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 11 (SMM) - An increasing number of galvanized tube/pipe producers in North China slash or cease production, SMM understands.

Some galvanizers produce actively due to stable orders from PV and highway mount sectors ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday. Some galvanizers in South China building stocks at lows.

SMM learned closures at a growing number of galvanizers due to the holiday will give limited support to prices in mid and late January given soft demand.
