SHFE 1603 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 13,205/mt Tuesday evening.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 30 (SMM) – SHFE 1603 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 13,205/mt Tuesday evening, then hovered around RMB 13400/mt, and closed at RMB 13,385/mt, up RMB 400/mt or 3.08%. Trading volumes were 154,000 lots. Total positions increased 13,000 to 161,000.

SHFE 1603 zinc opened at RMB 13,385/mt on Wednesday and fluctuated between RMB 13,370-13,390/mt, and closed the day at RMB 13,385/mt, up RMB 400/mt or 3.08%. Trading volumes of SHFE 1603 zinc contracts grew 161,000 to 272,000 lots, with total positions up 19,000 to 166,000. Trading volumes of SHFE zinc surged 452,000 to 953,000 lots, with total positions up 3,082 to 420,000.
