China Iron Ore Imports Grow 8.75% in November

China’s iron ore imports were 82.13 million tonnes in November, up 8.75% month-over-month and 21.85% year-over-year, according to China Customs.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 30 (SMM) - China’s iron ore imports were 82.13 million tonnes in November, up 8.75% month-over-month and 21.85% year-over-year, according to China Customs.

Concentrates imports were 59.69 million tonnes, up 10.75% month-over-month, but down 22.18% year-over-year. Imports of fines came to 7.17 million tonnes, up 6.31% month-over-month but down 16.39% year-over-year. Lump imports were 13.25 million tonnes, up 1.42% month-over-month and 21.47% year-over-year. Pellet imports were 2.02 million tonnes, up 11.44% month-over-month and 36.7% year-over-year.
