SHFE Zinc Prices Close with Gains (Dec. 29, 2015)

SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,900/mt Monday evening, and closed at RMB 12,950/mt, down RMB 115/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 29 (SMM) – SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,900/mt Monday evening, and closed at RMB 12,950/mt, down RMB 115/mt. Trading volumes on SHFE 1602 zinc contracts were 111,000 lots. Total positions decreased 4,478 to 148,000.

SHFE 1603 zinc contracts became the most actively traded contracts today. SHFE 1603 zinc edged up in the morning and climbed to RMB 13,150/mt with rising coking coal and SHFE copper in the afternoon, and closed the day at RMB 13,130/mt, up RMB 85/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1603 zinc contracts decreased 16,000 to 111,000 lots, with total positions grew 6,770 to 147,000.
