SHANGHAI, Dec. 25 (SMM) - Prices of indirect zinc oxide rose to 13,250-13,500 yuan per tonne this past week. Prices of hot galvanizing slag (95%) in Tianjin, Shandong and Hebei also climbed to 10,500-11,100 yuan per tonne, according to SMM data.
Most zinc oxide producers reported shrinking orders this week. Downstream buyers took a wait-and-see posture due to year-end cash tightness and continuously rising zinc prices.
