TCs for Lead Concentrate Imports Set for Losses January in China

TCs for imported lead concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000 g) will fall $ 5 per dry metric tonne MoM to $ 160-170 per dry metric tonne in January next year, SMM quotes on December 25.
SHANGHAI, Dec. 25 (SMM) – TCs for imported lead concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000 g) will fall $ 5 per dry metric tonne MoM to $ 160-170 per dry metric tonne in January next year, SMM quotes on December 25.
Trading for imports picked up recently due to stock-building at China’s lead smelters who more favored imports via L/C on the back of year-end cash crunch.
Profits for imported materials narrowed 430 yuan per tonne (Pb content) to 110 yuan per tonne (Pb content) in this past week above domestic concentrate, SMM estimated.
TCs for Chinese 50% concentrate will stabilize at 2,600-2,800 yuan per tonne (Pb content) in January.
