China’s galvanized plate and coil prices increased last week due to low inventories and rebounding rebar and iron ore prices, SMM reports.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 21 (SMM) - China’s galvanized plate and coil prices increased last week due to low inventories and rebounding rebar and iron ore prices, SMM reports.

“Producers hiked their selling prices of hot- and cold-rolled steel, boosting galvanizing prices.” an SMM zinc analyst said.

But the off-season at end-users should constrain any further gains in galvanizing prices, the analyst added.
