TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate is predicted to remain steady in near future with cash shortage at domestic lead producers, SMM forecasts.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 18 (SMM) – TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate are predicted to remain steady in near future with cash shortage at domestic lead producers, SMM forecasts.

Some domestic lead smelters reportedly lower TCs due to cash tightness at year’s end. Inner Mongolia Guosen Mining extends trail production till December 21 and will come online in January next year with annual concentrate capacity at 8,000 tonnes (Pb content).

TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate were steady at 2,500-2,800 yuan per tonne (Pb content) this week. And TCs for imported concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000 g) were mainly at $ 160-170 per dry metric tonne with some offers as low as $ 150 per dry metric tonne.
