SHANGHAI, Dec. 16 (SMM) – Chalco is making foray into green building materials business by announcing the establishment of a JV on December 15, xinhuanet.com reported.
The JV, located in Chengdu, Sichuan province, is jointly owned by Chalco and China State Construction Engineering Corporation. The JV will invest nearly 5 billion yuan ($774 million) over the next five years to develop new building materials, the media added.
Products of the JV will cover renewable building materials, such as aluminum alloy scaffold and van room, as well as other new materials, such as composite and high-molecule materials, the media said.
