SHFE Zinc Prices Close with Declines (Dec. 15, 2015)

SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,760/mt Monday evening, then fluctuated around RMB 12,850/mt, and closed the day at RMB 12,865/mt, up RMB 20/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 15 (SMM) – SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,760/mt Monday evening, then fluctuated around RMB 12,850/mt, and closed the day at RMB 12,865/mt, up RMB 20/mt. Trading volumes on SHFE 1602 zinc contracts were 282,000 lots, and total positions decreased 1,026 to 207,000.

SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,865/mt on Tuesday, then fluctuated around RMB 12,870/mt,  and dropped due to selling pressure to close the day at RMB 12,725/mt, down RMB 120/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1602 zinc contracts declined 66,000 to 555,000 lots, with total positions down over 4,000 to 204,000.

SHFE 1512 zinc opened at RMB 12,830/mt, then traded between RMB 12,700-12,800/mt, and closed at RMB 12,700/mt, with settlement price of RMB 12,750/mt, down RMB 130/mt or 1.01%. Trading volumes decreased 1,290 to 970 lots, with total positions down 350 to 7,490.
