SHANGHAI, Dec. 14 (SMM) - A large number of zinc alloy producers in Fujian and Guangdong cut or ceased production due to sliding orders and liquidity crunch. Purchases for zinc ingot were very light, SMM understands. Production at zinc alloy plants in Jiangsu and Zhejiang held stable.

The average prices for Zamark #3 and Zamark #5 dropped 180 yuan to 13,580-13,730 yuan per tonne and 13,880-14,030 yuan per tonne, respectively, last week, according to SMM data.
