SHFE Nickel Prices off 1% (Dec. 10, 2015)

SHFE 1601 nickel started Wednesday night trading session at RMB 68,350/mt and closed the session at RMB 67,770/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 10 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel started Wednesday night trading session at RMB 68,350/mt and closed the session at RMB 67,770/mt.

SHFE nickel opened Thursday trading session at RMB 67,860/mt and grew initially but later fell back due to falling aluminum prices, hurt by news of failure in agreement on output cut. The contract finally closed at RMB 67,490/mt, off 1%. Trading volumes fell 11,434 to 789,000 lots and positions reduced 8,218 to 271,000.
