Shanghai Nickel Price to Hold Stable (2015-12-10)

News that China will buy up zinc and aluminum reserves in the near term will boost base metals.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 10 (SMM) – News that China will buy up zinc and aluminum reserves in the near term will boost base metals. LME nickel prices are expected to remain low today.

SHFE 1601 nickel contract prices will move between RMB 66,500-69,000/mt today. Traders will mostly hold onto their goods as Jinchuan nickel supplies are tight. Spot zinc prices in Shanghai should stabilize at RMB 66,500-68,500/mt.
