SHFE 1601 nickel started Monday night session at RMB 70,000/mt responding to dollar and crude oil prices and ended at RMB 68,650/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 8 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel started Monday night session at RMB 70,000/mt responding to dollar and crude oil prices and ended at RMB 68,650/mt.

The contract opened at RMB 68,630/mt for day trading Tuesday and moved at lows due to Chinese economic slowdown with poor reading of China’s import and export data, to end at RMB 68,170/mt, off 3.43%. Trading volumes fell 33,248 to 743,000 lots while positions grew 11,170 to 280,000.
