China Motive Battery Wholesale Prices Grow on Improved Demand

Wholesale prices for China leading motive batteries show sign of growth because of pick-up in battery replacement in some regions due to winter cold, SMM understands.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 8 (SMM) – Wholesale prices for China leading motive batteries post rises and more gains are on the way because of pick-up in battery replacement in some regions due to winter cold, SMM understands.

Distributors lifted wholesale prices for 48v20Ah batteries from November’s 440-460 yuan to 460-490 yuan in December, up by 20-30 yuan. Also, some distributors planned to step up 48v12Ah battery prices to 300 yuan and 48v20Ah battery prices to 500 yuan.

Heading into December, downstream retailers show higher interest in buying with frequent news of price hike by leading motive battery makers.
