China Lead Concentrate TCs to Stabilize Short Term

TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate will be set for stability in the foreseeable future, SMM foresees.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 4 (SMM) – TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate will be set for stability in the foreseeable future, SMM foresees.

A growing number of mines will suspend operation in northeast and northwest China but concentrate inventories remain ample at domestic lead smelters.

TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate were steady at 2,500-2,800 yuan per tonne (Pb content) in this past week.

Currently, overall TCs for domestic concentrate remained stable with some low TCs increasing. Lead smelters in north China kept sufficient concentrate inventory for winter. Transport disruption persisted for nearly a month in Inner Mongolia due to heavy snows but now transport returns to normal.
