SHFE Zinc to Move at RMB 12,300-12,500/mt (2015-12-4)

The US dollar is expected to gain ground today, while investors will remain cautious ahead of the release of US non-farm payrolls.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 4 (SMM) – The US dollar is expected to gain ground today, while investors will remain cautious ahead of the release of US non-farm payrolls. LME zinc prices are expected to move between USD 1,500-1,530/mt today. SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices will fluctuate between RMB 12,300-12,500/mt.

In China’s spot markets, zinc smelters will sell modestly, with additional arriving shipments of imported zinc, expanding price spread between domestic and imported zinc. Downstream buyers will purchase as needed. Spot premiums are expected to be RMB 110-180/mt against SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices.
