SHFE Zinc Prices Closed with Declines (Dec. 2, 2015)

SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,710/mt Tuesday evening, and edged up to RMB 12,800/mt, reaching as high as RMB 12,870/mt, and closing at RMB 12,820/mt, up RMB 50/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 2 (SMM) – SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,710/mt Tuesday evening, and edged up to RMB 12,800/mt, reaching as high as RMB 12,870/mt, and closing at RMB 12,820/mt, up RMB 50/mt. Trading volumes on SHFE 1602 zinc contracts were 253,000 lots, and total positions increased 3,016 to 204,000.

SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,820/mt on Wednesday, and slumped below the 10-day moving average, and closed the day at RMB 12,550/mt, down RMB 220/mt or 1.72%. Trading volumes of SHFE 1602 zinc contracts surged 162,000 to 701,000 lots, with total positions up 31,000 to 232,000.
