Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange rises further to 584 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities rose further on Monday mainly due to a strong increese in capesize and rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities rose further on Monday mainly due to a strong increese in capesize and rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up by another 3 points to 584 points on Monday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
