Nickel ore inventories at six major Chinese ports were 10.05 million tonnes last week, up 20,000 tonnes on a weekly basis, according to SMM data.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 30 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories at six major Chinese ports were 10.05 million tonnes last week, up 20,000 tonnes on a weekly basis, according to SMM data.

SMM attributes the increase in stocks to concentrated arrivals of ore shipments and limited pick-up by domestic NPI producers.

Last week, five ships arrived at Chinese ports in total, with three going to the Port of Lanshan, and the Port of Lianyungang and Yingkou each saw the arrival of one ship.

This week, one new ship is expected to arrive.
