Australia Tops China Zinc Concentrate Suppliers in October

Australia was the largest zinc concentrate supplier to China in October, with imports from the country up 11,000 to 145,000 tonnes, according to China Customs.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 27 (SMM) - Australia was the largest zinc concentrate supplier to China in October, with imports from the country up 11,000 to 145,000 tonnes, according to China Customs.

Peru came in second, with zinc concentrate imports from the country down 35,000 to 76,000 tonnes. Imports from Russia, Mexico and Namibia outstripped 10,000 tonnes in October.

China imported 321,000 tonnes of zinc concentrate in October, up 45.42% YoY but down 7.75% MoM, and the second highest for the year. Zinc concentrate imports in the first ten months totaled 2.68 million tonnes, up 58.93% YoY.
