Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange continues to rise to 546 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to advance on Wednesday mainly boosted by a rise in capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to advance on Wednesday mainly boosted by a rise in capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up by another 18 points to 546 points on Wednesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
