US H1 scrap average prices held stable

ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The US H1 scrap average prices were at $143.50 per long ton, as on 23rd November, 2015. The prices held steady upon comparison with the previous week. This is the third consecutive week that US H1 scrap prices have remained flat.

The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $143.50 per long ton, remaining flat when compared with the previous week. The scrap prices had averaged at $143.50 per long ton as on 16th November, 2015.

The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $139.50 per long ton.  The average price held steady when compared with the previous week’s price. In Chicago the prices averaged at $147.50 per long ton. The prices here too remained unchanged when matched with the previous week. The average price in Philadelphia was $143.50 per long ton. The prices here too remained flat when compared with the week before.

Meantime, the weekly crude steel dropped modestly by 2.4% during the week from November 14th to November 21st. The output declined by 39,000 short tons to 1.562 million short tons during the week.
