SHFE Copper Ends with Gains (Nov. 25, 2015)

SHFE 1601 copper started at RMB 33,770/mt for night trading Tuesday and then shot up to RMB 34,980/mt amid Turkey-Russia tensions.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 25 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 copper started at RMB 33,770/mt for night trading Tuesday and then shot up to RMB 34,980/mt amid Turkey-Russia tensions, to close at RMB 34,790/mt. Positions reduced 18,464 and trading volumes were around 634,000 lots.

SHFE 1601 copper moved around RMB 34,460/mt during Wednesday trading session and then moved higher in response to gains in China stock market and SHFE nickel, to close at RMB 34,620/mt, up RMB 1,050/mt. Positions fell 24,168 to 255,662 and trading volumes totaled 1.13 million lots.

SHFE 1602 copper shifted to the most active contract today. Positions declined 13,864 to 263,136 and trading volumes were around 480,000 lots.
