Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange drops another 14 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities dropped another 14 points on Thursday due to a sharp decline in capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main  sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities  dropped another 14 points on Thursday due to a sharp decline in capesize,  panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average  daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport  vessels, down by another 14 points to 504 points on Thursday.

The main  sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying  dry bulk commodities.
