SHFE Nickel Slumps 2.65% with Shorts Entering Market (Nov. 17, 2015)

SHFE 1601 nickel opened Monday night session at RMB 72,830/mt.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 17 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel opened Monday night session at RMB 72,830/mt and once moved lower to RMB 71,060/mt before ending at RMB 72,140/mt.

The most actively-traded nickel opened at RMB 72,250/mt during Tuesday trading session and dipped to RMB 70,530/mt, to end at RMB 71,240/mt, tumbling 2.65%. Trading volumes were up 293,000 to 852,000 lots but positions fell 594 to 447,000.
