SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,935/mt Monday evening, then inched down to RMB 12,830/mt, and closed at RMB 12,785/mt, down RMB 225/mt.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 17 (SMM) –SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,935/mt Monday evening, then inched down to RMB 12,830/mt, and closed at RMB 12,785/mt, down RMB 225/mt. Trading volumes were 239,000 lots, and total positions increased 998 to 230,000.

SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,785/mt on Tuesday, and fell to RMB 12,600/mt, dipping to RMB 12,490/mt, a new low since May 2009 and closed at RMB 12,615/mt, down RMB 395/mt or 3.04%. Trading volumes increased 337,000 to 789,000 lots. Total positions grew 2,574 to 232,000.
