Scrap battery prices in China slid as much as 200-400 yuan per tonne in just half month from Oct. 28 to Nov. 16 and where the bottom lies for scrap battery prices?

SHANGHAI, Nov. 17 (SMM) – Scrap battery prices in China slid as much as 200-400 yuan per tonne in just half month from Oct. 28 to Nov. 16 and where the bottom lies for scrap battery prices?

Secondary lead producers cut purchase for scrap batteries due to poor sales of finished products, hurt by poor downstream demand. This will form a vicious circle in the long term.

Besides, scrap battery supply stays healthy and some secondary lead producers halt operation, leading to oversupply in market. This will lend no support to scrap battery prices. And bearishness in market will also weigh on scrap battery prices.
