China Motive Battery Producers to Build Stocks ahead of Upcoming Peak Season

Some large and medium Chinese motive battery producers plan to replenish stocks heading into November ahead of the upcoming traditional peak season, SMM reports.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 17 (SMM) – Some large and medium Chinese motive battery producers plan to replenish stocks heading into November ahead of the upcoming traditional peak season, SMM reports.

“Traditionally, battery producers start stocks building from the end of November to December. Cold weather will accelerate battery replacement and distributors will ramp up sales for year’s target, set by large battery makers.” one distributor said.

In the previous two months, overall demand stayed weak in motive battery market and thus most battery makers lowered operating rate to avoid cash shortage.
