China Lead Concentrate TCs Unchanged from Last Week

Chinese 50% concentrate TCs were steadily at 2,300-2,800 yuan per tonne (Pb content) this week, SMM learnt.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 13 (SMM) – Chinese 50% lead concentrate TCs were steadily at 2,300-2,800 yuan per tonne (Pb content) this week, SMM learnt.

Mines in Inner Mongolia and other frigid regions suspended operation due to cold weather. And some mines cut operating rate marginally as weak prices bit. However, concentrate supply remains sufficient currently. On the other hand, inventories mounted at lead smelters, depressing purchase interest.

TCs for domestic concentrate should remain steady in the foreseeable future. Lead smelters show little buying interest and meanwhile production falls at mines due to thinner profits.
