Production Cut at China Lead Mines Little Harms Concentrate TCs

SHANGHAI, Nov. 6 (SMM) – TCs for Chinese  50% lead concentrate are little affected by production cut at lead mines, Shanghai Metals Market notes.

With year’s target almost achieved, some domestic mines slash output as weak prices bite. Nonetheless, concentrate supply remains ample in market, giving no harm to TCs.

On the other hand, lead smelters show little buying interest due to mounting inventories, which also bodes well for TCs.

Domestic concentrate TCs were mainly at 2,300-2,800 yuan per tonne (Pb content) in this past week.
