A large number of scrap battery traders in Shanghai suspend operation currently as environmental protection inspection has extended to Shanghai.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 5 (SMM) – A large number of scrap battery traders in Shanghai suspend operation currently as environmental protection inspection has extended to Shanghai, SMM points out.

Heading into September, environmental protection inspection hit Jiangsu, Shandong, then Anhui, Henan, Guangdong and Jiangxi. At present, it falls in Shanghai.

Besides, thin profit heavily weakens traders’ selling interest. Scrap motive batteries shipped from Shanghai to Shandong and Anhui quoted at 7,400 yuan per tonne and 6,800-6,900 yuan per tonne for scrap automobile batteries (white shell).
