Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange drop further to 706 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities dropped further to 706 points on Monday due to a sharp decline in capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main  sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities  dropped further to 706 points on Monday due to a sharp decline in capesize,  panamax and supramax rates.


The overall index, which factors in average  daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport  vessels, down by another 15 points to 706 points on Monday.

The main sea  freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry  bulk commodities.
