Nickel Asia Expects Nickel Ore Exports to Hit Record High in 2015

Outbound shipments of nickel ore by Nickel Asia Corp. are expected to hit a new record high in 2015, the company predicted.
SHANGHAI, Oct. 29 (SMM) – Outbound shipments of nickel ore by Nickel Asia Corp. are expected to hit a new record high in 2015, the company predicted.
“Drier conditions from El Nino will reduce impact on ore production during the monsoon season,” said Emmanuel Samson, the CFO of top miner Nickel Asia.
Nickel Asia, the Philippines' largest nickel producer, hence estimates its 2015 ore exports to 19.00 million tonnes in 2015, up from 17.90 million tonnes in 2014, a new record high.
The company said nickel ore exports rose 25% during the first half of 2015 to 9.68 million tonnes thanks to less rains.
