Chalco has cancelled plan to close its Liancheng branch after obtaining preferential power tariffs from local government, Shanghai Metals Market has learned.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 28 (SMM) –Chalco has cancelled plan to close its Liancheng branch after obtaining preferential power tariffs from local government, Shanghai Metals Market has learned. 

The Chinese aluminum giant announced early this month that it would shut down Liancheng branch completely against losses. But the company changed its plan after the local government promised 0.25 yuan/Kwh preferential power tariff.
