Some small volumes of ISRI grade scrap were bought by Taiwanese mills this week, but suppliers, for the most part were not willing to lower their selling price. Mills were heard to be bidding in the $130-135 a ton range.

Domestic orders for finished long products were relatively strong, but the price is currently below TWD 10,000 a ton, and mills are reluctant to increase production in order to keep prices stable.
