East China Aluminum Prices Tumbled on Panic Selling (Oct. 23, 2015)

In east China spot aluminum market, suppliers scrambled to sell in panic at lower prices after SHFE aluminum slumped.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 23 (SMM) –In east China spot aluminum market, suppliers scrambled to sell in panic at lower prices after SHFE aluminum slumped. Some traders went bargain hunting, allowing suppliers to raise offers slightly later in the day. Downstream buying remained poor. Prices were mainly between RMB 10,330-10,370/mt in Shanghai, discount of RMB 200-160/mt over SHFE 1511 aluminum, versus RMB 10,340-10,370/mt in Wuxi, and RMB 10,340-10,350/mt in Hangzhou.
