SHANGHAI, Oct. 22 (SMM) – China saw lead concentrate output at 229,000 tonnes in September this year, up 3.63 percentage points MoM, data from China National Bureau of Statistics showed.
The production in Hunan jumped 16,000 tonnes to 40,000 tonnes from August’s 24,000 tonnes in September with average production at 30,000 tonnes in the first 7 months.
Domestic lead concentrate production in October should fall back from September. Operating rates drop at mines in northeast and northwest China with temperatures getting cold in October. And some mines reportedly already halted operation.
