SHANGHAI, Oct. 21 (SMM) – Alumina prices in China remained stuck in downward track in October. Where does the bottom lie?
SMM sees room for further price declines in the near future, and prices in some regions should fall below 2,000 yuan per tonne in November.
High alumina inventories, depressed aluminum prices, as well as flooding of cheaper imported alumina, will all combine to weigh on alumina prices, SMM noted.
