ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The US H1 scrap average prices were at $152.50 per long ton, as on 12th October, 2015. The prices have dropped by $46.67 per long ton when compared with the previous week.
The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $152.50 per long ton, dropping significantly when compared with the previous week. The scrap prices had averaged at $199.17 per long ton as on 5th October, 2015.

The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $149.50 per long ton. The average price declined by $50 per long ton when compared with the previous week’s price. In Chicago the prices averaged at $164.50 per long ton. The prices here too dropped by $50 per long ton when matched with the previous week. The average price in Philadelphia was $143.50 per long ton. The prices here saw a decline of $40 per long ton when compared with the week before.
Meantime, the weekly crude steel dropped by 1.3% during the week from October 3rd to October 10th. The output declined by 22,000 short tons to 1.705 million short tons during the week.
