Another four rare earth groups followed suit after China Northern Rare Earth Group High-Tech Co. announced production cuts on October 12.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 15 (SMM) –Another four rare earth groups followed suit after China Northern Rare Earth Group High-Tech Co. announced production cuts on October 12. 

Persistent weakness in rare earth prices is the major cause for joint production cutbacks, SMM understands. The cuts mainly target rare earth smelting & separating products, whose supply is in surplus.
