Jiangxi Copper Undertakes Maintenance at Zinc and Lead Branch

Jiangxi Copper Lead & zinc Metals Co. conducted maintenance at its lead and zinc production lines in October, SMM says.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 14 (SMM) - Jiangxi Copper Lead & zinc Metals Co. conducted maintenance at its lead and zinc production lines in October, SMM says.

The maintenance will affect 6,000 tonnes of lead output and 2,000 tonnes of zinc output. Nevertheless, the company is expected to meet its annual output target for zinc and lead. Its zinc output in September was 9,500 tonnes, up from 6,500 tonnes in the same period last year. Zinc output in the first nine months was 70,000 tonnes, and output target this year is 90,000 tonnes.

Lead output was 80,000 tonnes during the same period, only 20,000 tonnes below its 100,000 tonnes annual target.
