SHFE Nickel Registers 1.08% Growth (Oct. 12, 2015)

SHFE 1601 nickel lurched down to RMB 79,000/mt after opening last Friday evening session at RMB 81,000/mt, to close at RMB 79,660/mt.
SHANGHAI, Oct. 12 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel lurched down to RMB 79,000/mt after opening last Friday evening session at RMB 81,000/mt, to close at RMB 79,660/mt.
SHFE nickel started at RMB 79,650/mt for day trading Monday and then shot up to RMB 80,360/mt. The contract returned to RMB 80,000/mt following a modest drop and broke above the 60-day moving average, to end 1.08% higher at RMB 80,310/mt. Trading volumes grew 123,000 to 786,000 lots while positions fell 15,582 to 245,000.
