SHFE Zinc Prices Jump 4.33% (Oct. 12, 2015)

SHFE 1512 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,675/mt last Friday evening, and closed at RMB 14,645/mt, up RMB 565/mt or 4.01%.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 12 (SMM) – SHFE 1512 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,675/mt last Friday evening, and closed at RMB 14,645/mt, up RMB 565/mt or 4.01%. Trading volumes added 230,000 to 293,700 lots, and total positions increased 8,802 to 171,124.

SHFE 1512 zinc contract price volatility increased on Monday, hovering around the 60-day moving average and closing at RMB 14,690/mt, up RMB 610/mt or 4.33%. Trading volumes were 652,134 lots. Total positions increased 5,266 to 167,588. Total positions of zinc on the SHFE grew 1,162 to 336,536.
