India containerized shredded scrap import prices dropped during the week ended October 02, while Indian plastic scrap prices on Scrap Register Price Index showed an up trend.

MUMBAI (Scrap Register): India containerized shredded scrap import prices dropped during the week ended October 02, while Indian plastic scrap prices on Scrap Register Price Index showed an up trend. 

According to TSI, containerized shredded index for Indian imports fell by $2 a ton to $217 a ton CFR Nhava Sheva port. 

Volumes have now started to pick up a little as offers from yards have begun to reach acceptable levels for Indian mills and traders.

Material was heard booked from the Middle East and Europe this week, whilst a bulk European cargo of shredded was also heard booked into India over the last few days.

The major plastic scrap commodities showed almost up tread on Scrap Register Price Index during the week. The plastic scrap like acrylic, C.P.W, HD blowing, hd moulding(colour), hips(baff)

LLDP blowing, PVC pest grade and PVC resin desi showed an up trend during the week.
