SHFE Nickel Prices Closed Up 2.07% (Sept. 30, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Sept. 30 (SMM) –SHFE 1601 nickel contract prices opened high at RMB 76,260/mt Tuesday evening, then rose with LME nickel prices later the day, with prices closing at RMB 76,430/mt.

SHFE 1601 nickel contract prices opened at RMB 76,450/mt on Wednesday, then fluctuated between RMB 76,200-76,500/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1601 nickel contract prices increased and stood at the 5-day moving average, and closed at RMB 77,100/mt, up 2.07%. Trading volumes were down 167,000 to 479,000 lots. Total positions decreased 31,050 to around 249,000.
